LR5-102. Chief judge.

Beginning in l998, every third year in the month of May, the district judges of the fifth judicial district shall, by a majority vote, elect the chief judge. In the event of a vacancy in the office of the chief judge, the district judges shall, by majority vote, elect one of their number to serve for the remainder of the term. All administrative matters of the district shall be accomplished by the chief judge through the district court administrator's office in Roswell, New Mexico.
